The Dairy of Anne Frank
Annelies Marie "Anne" Frank was born on June 12, 1929 in Frankfurt am Main. Born in the city of Welmare, Germany, she lived most of her life in
Amsterdam, in the Netherlands. She was officially considered a German until 1941. she gained fame from her "Diary". Which documents her experience absconding during the German Occupation of the Netherlands in World War II. In 1933, the Frank family moved from Germany to Amsterdam. The same year as the Nazis gained power in Germany. In 1940 they were trapped in Amsterdam due to the Nazis occupation of the Netherlands. In July of 1942, the family went to hiding in the attic of her father Ottos Franks office building. The Frank family were hiding in the attic for 2 years. After two years , the group was transported to concentration camp where Anne and her sister Margot died from ''Typhus'' in March 1945 (age 15) . Otto Frank was the only survivor of the family, and returned to Amsterdam after the war to find out that her dairy have been saved. Her dairy was written in Dutch and translated to English in 1952 as " The Dairy of a Young Girl" . The title have been translated into may languages. Anne have gotten that dairy on her 13th birthday.
